Equipment
- Oven
Ingredients
- 3 C Salsa Verde
- 3 C Cooked and Shredded Meat
- 5 oz Corn Tortilla Chips
- 1 C Sour Cream
- 10 oz Monterrey Jack Cheese Shredded
- 1 Tomato Chopped
- 2 Green Onions Chopped
- 1 Tbsp Cilantro Chopped
- Black Pepper To Taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°.
- Spray large cast iron skillet with cooking spray. Spread 1 cup of salsa verde on bottom of skillet and then start layering with ⅓ of the meat, ⅓ of the chips, and top with ⅓ of the sour cream, and ⅓ of the cheese. Repeat with remaining salsa verde, meat, chips, sour cream, and cheese 2 more times. There will be a total of 3 layers of each ingredient.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until hot inside and all cheese has melted.
- Top with tomatoes, green onion, cilantro, and black pepper.
Notes
Herdez Fire-Roasted Salsa Verde is best.
If using sour cream, spread in a thin layer and don't leave in clumps.
Any shredded meat works fine, but pulled pork is best!
Use as much (or as little) tomato, green onion, and cilantro as you'd like. Quantities listed are a guideline, but we usually use more!
